    • I (Faustus) haven’t, though it is possibly Molly (who wrote this story) has. From the summary on Wikipedia it looks like something that I might enjoy, though, so thanks for bringing it up.

      • That Wikipedia article is misleading about the story’s age by saying that it was published in Twilight Zone magazine in 1983. I don’t know when or where it was originally published, but it’s in his collection Kiss Kiss, which was first published in 1960. I have a 1970’s paperback edition with cover artwork inspired by “Royal Jelly”.

        • Another mad science-y Roald Dahl story is “The Sound Machine”. I know this one was originally published in The New Yorker in 1949, and it’s in his collection Someone Like You, which was first published in 1953. An “unauthorized” adaptation of it is in the third issue of Weird Science, “The Sounds From Another World!” by Harvey Kurtzman.

    • I have not read it, but I see that it is in my Collected Short Stories of Roald Dahl so I will give it a read this week. Thanks.
