I won’t lie, this makes me downright sad.
It is the world that makes me sad.
Somebody’s world view narrative needs challenging.
Seems like she has a pretty solid grasp of reality to me. Her science career is finished if she says no and she would rather be seduced and ecstatically eaten by an Elder God than live the rest of her life asking if we want fries with that. The next few years will show how brutal a non-technical or non-executive position can be for people stuck servicing everyone else.
