  1. This presentation reminds me of The Greek Slave, a popular statue of the 19th century. It was supposed to be a chaste Christian girl captured by the infidel Turk and about to confront the Inevitable. It’s backstory allowed it to be exhibited as a “moral nude”.

    • Thank you for the link. It’s a well-crafted artwork, and the notion of being able to transcend grief and shame is not without its appeal.
