    • It’s not just a question of being able to get near. It’s a question of being able to get away again afterwards.

    • It’s a good technique to add authenticity to a tale.

      Sir Arthur Conan Doyle employed it regularly when writing in the Strand, which is why so many people of the time thought Sherlock Holmes was a real person.
