A beautiful warm spring day. Miranda jogs up to to Toozie who is walking along a college path.

MIRANDA

Hey there, scholar!

TOOZIE

(laughing, genuinely happy)

Hey!

MIRANDA

I hear they’ve scheduled your thesis defense for early next week.

TOOZIE

Yep.

MIRANDA

Well I’ll make sure the gang all knows and that they’ll be out there for support. Nervous?

TOOZIE

A little. But as you know I have my ways of making myself relax.

MIRANDA

(grinning)

Aw, that’s our pervy Toozie.
