Very reminded from the scene from Piers Anthony’s novel ‘Macroscope’, where in order to survive high acceleration and interstellar travel via black hole, they first had to devolve themselves into single cell goo puddles. The devolution and re-evolution process was described in great detail, and of course being Piers, he had to find a sexual angle to it.
