1. You can usually pick up a typewriter at the Goodwill or similar store for ten to twenty bucks each, usually in working condition. I still use two of the seven typewriters I have lying around.

   • Good point, although anything Taylor picks up from Joe Larson can pretty much be guaranteed to have been restored to good working order.
