“Mates for the Bat Man”
I wonder if that means:
1) Robin, Alfred, Harold, etc.
2) Superman, Green Lantern, Wonder Woman, The Flash, etc.
3) Linda Page, Vicki Vale, Selina Kyle, etc.
I think giving her benefit of clergy before her upcoming ravishment is very genteel.
So the good guy is forcing the Evil Red Robed Guy (ERRG) at gunpoint to perform a marriage ceremony between the damsel and the ape-bat-man monster ERRG is going to force her to mate with? Wha? And why the blindfold?
Or is the ERRG the one off-page holding the pistol and he forced the good guy to wear the blindfold, the red robe and is making him perform the ceremony?
Either way, how is he supposed to read the book? That’s it, she was traveling with a blind priest who had a Braille Bible. Dunno about that skull fobbed bookmark though.
She’s probably thinking of this part of Proverbs 21:9 “It is better to dwell in a corner of the housetop, than with a brawling woman in a wide house.” ‘Just let me get out of these chains and you’ll see a brawling woman!’
