It would be Innsmouth that penetrates the abyssal depths.
In that case, the video capture technology had to have been developed by Pickman Opticals.
Perhaps Pickman’s new cameras can detect the colour out of space.
Plus improved hydrophones for picking up the call of Cthulhu.
But can they create a cleansing agent to get rid of the fungi from Yuggoth in your bathroom?
So, if drone submersibles can get that close, why not send a bomb with one to blow it up?
I guess these researchers never watched “Alien”, “King Kong”, or any other film where people foolishly try to contain, train, or weaponize a dangerous critter.
Or they just figure they’re smarter and better-equipped than the people in the movies.
