If only Minnow had thought to ask herself WHY it is that a race of fishmen would require human women to propagate itself, and the ramifications of giving birth to human-looking babies that over time will gradually become monsters. ‘The Shadow over Innsmouth’ should have been required reading for her.
I wouldn’t call this a bitter-sweet ending.
I want to hear what women have to say about this.
Somehow I thought it’d end with the women walking into the sea.
