Millie isn’t actually an illegal alien. She’s either a US citizen – though there may be problems exercising her rights – or a vandalised work of art. Given her age, if the first applies, in the UK she could collect an Old Age Pension – are there US equivalents? She’d certainly have problems with journalists, though.
While on any non-insane interpretation of the relevant law Millie is U.S. citizen, she would definitely have a hard time proving it, and in the modern environment if you can’t prove you’re one you might as well not be one because fuck you that’s why. It’s unclear to me whether she would be eligible for U.S. social security benefits, though I suspect she might not be, as she would never have received a social security number or paid into the social security trust fund.
The medical exam is needed. She certainly won’t have any vaccinations other than smallpox. She also could be a carrier for some currently rare ailments, like typhoid or TB.
Antibiotics and all the vaccinations would seem amazing to her. So would the news that many diseases have been completely eradicated with no new ‘wild’ infections for years – especially smallpox and polio.
