This particular story disturbs me more than any other you’ve done to date; which means its good writing. Kudos on creating an emotional response in your audience, that’s what good horror is *supposed* to do.
I wouldn’t be so quick to label this as body horror, sure there are elements of this, but at the same time it’s something that doesn’t really fit any genre
Sorry, but not being able to move or speak, and having a *vastly* diminished sensorium fits *my* personal definition of horror.
