    • Tehehe, perhaps. Although happiness and contentment would mostly invalidate the entire history of art in western civilization. How or why would artists ever create anything if they weren’t wanting to share their misery with us? 😉

      • This reminds me of a favorite quip form Thomas Ligotti, who when asked “What is art?” replied “Distraction, escape, a way to transform the intolerable into the enjoyable, a booby prize that we give ourselves for continuing to exist.”
