On second thought: I wonder how long it takes before the publication of Prentiss’ tale causes othet women to ‘worship Inanna’ upon the erotopylon, when none knew of its promises before?
I’m going to assume it’s the pain of his injuries that prevented him from thinking this through and just taking the secret with him to the grave.
