  1. That king is dressed in a wildly inappropriate manner to the setting. Everything else is themed on generically Islamic style. (A bit odd, though: architecture is from Maghreb, the vizier is dressed in shalvar kameez, which is typical for Afghanistan and Pakistan.)

    The king, however, is wearing leggings, boots, a tunic and a robe held by a large round clasp. That is iron age or early middle age fashion from Western and Northern Europe. My forefathers would have dressed like that 1,000 or 1,500 years ago.

    Of course, the previous Watsonian explanation fits well also to this.
