Ah, now I’m remembering part of a school trip to Italy.
It was a meant to be a combined Classics & Geography trip, and I was studying neither (having opted for History & German), but they’d had too few takers, so they opened it up to the whole year.
During the section we spent at Naples, we toured Pompeii in the morning, then I almost fell into Vesuvius in the afternoon. Rounded it off in the evening with my only encounter to date with the Med.
