I think her costume is supposed to evoke Hermes the Messenger, but is otherwise very hard to take seriously as a space costume. Original post here.

Been wanting to say something about this since I saw it yesterday, but I can’t find my reference books to confirm details. This was one of a series of cheesecake sci-fi pictures (I don’t think they were in any magazines) circa 1950 (I think). Each one was some specific planet. This one had a short poem with it, saying how gigantically tall this woman was.
