    • I had never heard of this before looking it up just now.

      In St. Louis, where I live, I gotta believe it’s more like “mud” gambling. Because just because the light is green for you? Doesn’t mean some ass in a Dodge Charger* won’t be speeding through the red at Mach 1, potentially leaving you in the morgue or a body cast, should you be unwary.

      * Maybe this is a personal prejudice, but my life has taught me you are NEVER more than 500 yards away from a Dodge Charger that is going to put your life at risk. The people who buy that car have somehow ALL wound up knowing that they should own it based on the fact that they’re a douche.
