Those among you who follow EroticMadScience.com closely may have noticed that some parts of the site have been updating a bit tardily over the past few days. I am sorry about this, but thanks to the great storm I lost power completely on Monday evening and now (late Friday afternoon where I am) neither power nor my regular Internet service has been restored. I am patching things together as best I can with wireless Internet devices and batteries recharged when opportunities allow, but as you can well imagine, this can be a little awkward with images as large as we typically find here. Satellite sites (Pyrosophy, Thaumatophile Imagery, The Erotic Mad Science tumblr, and even the @EroticMadSci twitter) have been largely silent since Monday as well.
I’m hoping that things will improve in the next few days. For those of you bearing with me, I am grateful.
Like so much else of the Eastern Seaboard, Castle Faustus and its associated laboratories are without power in the wake of the aptly-named “Frankenstorm.” (Human beings associated therewith are all okay, at least.) I shall do my best to keep things going on such backup power as I have, but please keep in mind that updates, especially on satellite sites like the Erotic Mad Science tumblr, Pyrosophy, and Thaumatophile Images) may be slowed down or delayed.
Things spiral in a predictable direction from here.

Pure wireframe erotica isn’t necessarily easy to find, but as with all other things on the Internet, persistent search will be rewarded, as the image to the left, which I found at Synthtopia clearly shows.
Progress in Research will be posting out here through 6 August 2012, a minor departure from our customary practice of concluding a chapter on or before the month-end. We’re changing up slightly just because with various obligations that Lon and I have over the summer it makes sense to keep posting at a relaxed pace of no more than one page per day; furthermore the last chapter of Progress in Research is slightly long and the first of the next volume, Invisible Girl, Heroine, is slightly short, so this pace will enable us to keep our schedule fairly straight by the end of August.
In the meantime, though, don’t fear, as there’s bonus content coming. Over the several days I shall be posting out a series of character designs Lon did for Invisible Girl, Heroine, in hopes of pleasing all you readers and perhaps interesting you in the narrative in which they will be taking part.
The first of these comes today, Warden Ridgeway, the stern-looking chief of the State Home for Wayward Girls, a carceral institution located just out side of Pleasant Prairie, in which some sinister goings-on will be, well, going on.
