What won’t they think of next?

Back in July 1960, a men’s magazine called Scamp did a pictorial imagining the tube girl.

“Bottled beauties, tasteful and decorative and the product is easy to see.” A real example of postwar ingenuity, no?

The model on the right is hard to identify. Sue Caution? Sui Caution? Siri Caution? Anyway, she’s more of a “cocktail shaker” girl.

“Watch out for that canny canning industry” sound pretty damn ominous if you ask me, even if that is itself an interesting cue to the imagination.

Artist Introduction: ICUdhara

However many of them I discover in my tours of the Internet’s artists’ quarters, it’s always a profound pleasure to discover yet another creator who shares in my curious obsessions.

What have we here? A mad scientist? Tube girls?

That’s Doctor Impressed by an artist working under the name ICUdhara. Does he share any of my other interests? Why yes, there are liquid girls.

That’s Melted Into a Soda. Our heroine doesn’t look all that happy about her transition. We can hope, perhaps, that she will learn to enjoy her new state of being.

Another tube girl fan!

It is with pleasure that I learned today that LN Bey, a writer and fan of BDSM and S/M erotica, is also a tube girl fan, and just yesterday contributed a post about the trope, containing both intelligent critical discussion and several of the finer historical examples of the trope (as well as some surprising contemporary ones as well). Redpulp has been at this for a long time. From 2012:

Her friends were all partying on a beach in Miami while she was stuck here listening to her Professor drone on about whatever boring-ass science crap he was excited about. She took another sip of the bizarre Tea concoction he had given her, maybe the caffeine would keep her awake as he chattered on. Strangely though – it seemed to be having the opposite effect…

When she woke next, Monique found her circumstances much more INTERESTING…

Word to the wise: if a mad scientist offers you tea and you’re the sort who can ignore whether your space-costume makes sense or not, don’t accept it,, unless you really up for something, uh, “interesting.” Like intimate involvement the production of Monique-flavored seltzer, or whatever else is going on here.

Sybian Olympics 2044

Three women compete in the ultimate global test of erotic endurance!

It is 2044, the planet is warmer, the world is crueler, global political geography has been scrambled by secessions and conquests, and a number of interesting new events have been added to the Olympic Games, including this contest of erotic endurance involving an apparatus consisting of a Sybian, a Reichian orgone concentrator, and of course, a tube. Glory to the winner, and vae victis!

We’ve been making art and comics here at Erotic Mad Science for almost nine years now, and while this ins’t quite the first actual animation (Erosarts did some animated .gifs early on, including this girlscanner animation, but this is the first one that resembles an actual movie clip with sound and everything. It’s the work of artist HayleyPetHarley, for whom you can find a site at Newgrounds and follow on Twitter. You can also do as I do and support the artist on Patreon. C’mon, people, where do you think art comes from?

The art is an imagined version of the “Bubbles experiment,” which is the subject of my most ambitious comics translation experiment and versions of which you have been seeing here at Erotic Mad Science.
