This image is reblogged from this 13 April 2015 post at Infernal Wonders. What is it doing here? Well, apparently, this is Violet Beauregard at the moment of her…transformation from a stage musical version of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (it has a tumblr here, and as it happens, way back in the early days of this site I did a number of posts on Willy Wonka as a mad scientist, so it seemed reasonable to revisit the topic. There is some evidence that Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, viewed by impressionable young people, would become the source for various kinks, including those involving blueberry inflations/transformations.

A poster for one of the wildest cinematic mad science rides there is, Re-Animator. It is reblogged from this 5 April 2015 post at Infernal Wonders and boy do I have to say Barbara Crampton was a good sport about that…notorious scene. (And she’s still in horror: you can follow her on Twitter at @barbaracrampton).

This illustration is reblogged from this 30 March 2015 post at Infernal Wonders. It contains the text “And he’s a lousy doctor as well…” I’ve been unable to establish the provenance of the image beyond a signature “Alazar” in the lower-left corner of the image.
