We Must Boost the Signal: Concept Art II

Continuing with art for “We Must Boost the Signal” we have a contribution from the much-admired Frans Mensink which fairly sizzles, even if there’s no nudity (at least, as that term is normally understood). Young brain scientist Dr. Hope Montclair is allowed to visit a mysterious government laboratory, where a terrifying secret is revealed. (The G-man in the picture is named Macneil, as is thus a metafictional link to the Tales of Gnosis College.) For those of you following the script, it’s roughly Page 22,Panel One. For those of you who just like the pictures, you can download a very large (~23MB) high-definition version of the picture by clicking through the one that appears on this blog.

We Must Boost the Signal: Concept Art I

We’ll be starting up with another chapter of Commencement on April 1, but in these last days of March I’d like to publish some concept art for a new, non-Gnosis College script I’ve been working on. It’s something a little different, something perhaps in the confluence of genres between erotic horror and apocalyptic science fiction the working title of which is We Must Boost the Signal. Oft-before-published-here artist Lucy Fidelis has done the first illustration I am publishing, in which a young lady named Amy goes out for a swim one summer morning and gets pulled down to a strange and awful fate. For those of you who might be reading the script, it illustrates events at approximately Page 4, Panel Four.

Squick or Squee week 2013 VI: Bride of Frankenstein

It’s a well-worn subject, but we can always count on Frans Mensink, who has done splendid Erotic Mad Science work here before, to come up with a version with extra sizzle for Squick or Squee week. You can get a huge (~27MB), high-resolution version of the painting by clicking through.

Erotic Bride of Frankenstein is an image commissioned for 2013 Squick or Squee week by Dr. Faustus of EroticMadScience.com, who also commissioned this image. The image was conceived and executed by Frans Mensink. It is published here by Dr. Faustus under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 3.0 Unported License.

Squick or Squee week 2013 IV: A dreadful accident

Drake at Medusariffic, a tireless creator of A.S.F.R. CG comics, has long been celebrated here at Erotic Mad Science, and this year he has come up with a remarkable contribution to Squick or Squee week. Inspired by the “dreadful accident” alluded to by Iris Brockman’s one-time mad science boss Mr. Takayama, he decided to come up with a backstory of his own. It begins with a scientist in her lab…

…and proceeds to a dénoument which, if perhaps predictable, is nonetheless satisfying. You can read the entire comic here. And if it touches on themes that interest you, I strongly encourage you to visit Medusariffic, where you’ll find a vast amount of similar comics material.

Squick or Squee week 2013 III: Dr. Moorcoch’s Robot

Our third entry this year comes from Lon Ryden, the tireless illustrator of the Tales of Gnosis College. Like Kristin, he provides his own explanatory text in his highly-complex illustration (you can get high-resolution versions by clicking through the image.)

For those of you who are fanatical about all the detail in the image, there is also a caption-free version:

Squick or Squee Week 2013 II: Cross-Species Breeding Program

Our second entry for Squick or Squee Week this year is from longtime Erotic Mad Science contributor KristinF, who has contributed a scenario from her own imagination, complete with her own text.

Kristin also provide a no-text version. Shall I mention that our lady mad scientist is Kristin’s internet Alter Ego?

Squick or Squee week 2013 I: Gnosis Chemistry

Halloween is approaching again, and that means that traditional feature here at EroticMadScience.com, Squick or Squee< Week, in which I try to come up with artwork that might be appealing, or very much not, depending on your predilections.

We’ll start this year with something rather mild, a possible scenario in a Gnosis College building, conceived and executed by longtime Erotic Mad Science illustrator Niceman. A laboratory assistant carries a tray of chemicals from one laboratory to another. Being perhaps a bit slack, he’s neglected to properly cover his flasks, which are giving off vapor that have rather strange effects on the women students he’s passing by. (I note that Gnosis College women students do not normally wear uniforms of any kind, but there’s always the possibility of a visiting delegation from St. Mary Magdalene across the way!)

A student chemist's formulae have strange effects on nearby coeds.
