Pretty Vacant: Final Repose v. 2 preview

John Villalino continues rolling out Pretty Vacant: Final Repose, and I am delighted to be able to offer Page Nine as a teaser:

John’s imperiled heroine Gigi is being rotated in a tube and scanned for the purpose of making a 3D computer model, a procedure which tickles me because it has a clear antecedent in a favorite mad-science movie Looker (1982), in which a character played by Susan Dey underwent a similar procedure:

The whole book is expected to be published in time for Comic-Con (July 12-15), and John expects to be around, mostly at Bare Bones Studios Booth E-7, although he may be on panels or otherwise just enjoying himself part of the time. Final Repose sneak peak

John Villalino has sent on a sneak peak at Final Repose, the latest chapter of his freeze-themed comic Pretty Vacant. On this page on of his heroines, Gigi, is frozen and about to be auctioned off. And I suspect her eventual buyers will not have very nice plans for her…

Pretty Vacant is a comic book after the classic fashion, printed with ink on paper and everything, but if you surf on over to John’s site it should be easy to find the means of getting touch with him and procuring your very own exciting copy. Don’t miss out!

Drake does mad science!

It’s a great pleasure to be able to announce that Drake at Medusarrific, whose work as a CG A.S.F.R.-themed comics creator we have celebrated here before at Erotic Mad Science, will be publishing a new issue of his comic with a mad science theme. And Drake has graciously provided a preview of two pages.

We start with a standard mad-science scenario.

Drake knows his tropes. Labcoated scientist? Check. Comely and restrained naked subject? Check. Weird control panel? Check.

Of course the subject did sign a waiver. I appreciate the observance of such formalities. And also that of making the subject comfortable, and with finding appropriate ways of dealing with the subject’s doubts and making her comfortable through the course of the procedure.

~~I for one just can’t wait to see how this turns out, and I’ll bet you can’t either, so starting tomorrow~~ Update: it’s up now, I’ve seen it and yes, much enjoyed it, so do drop in at Drake’s place and download the new issue.

A fate prettier than death

Good news for A.S.F.R. and femme peril fans! Independent comics creator John Villalino, the proprietor of Pretty Vacant Thoughts and a critic whose work has has featured here before has a new issue of of Pretty Vacant coming out soon. And not only is it coming out, but he’s put together a video montage preview for your enjoyment. Watch:
